Day 4
As usual we woke up around 8am and had been sleeping for around 10-11 hours. Haha. Now you can understand why we are willing to invest in a good hotel? Finally I managed to squeeze everything into my luggage. Phew¬ wouldn’t wan to carry too much bags with me
We went back to Centre World Plaza for Coca. It’s super delicious. The tom yam soup is especially yummy. We ordered lots of food and I even had my coconut drink. Haha. Even Ma was starting to feel better of her tummy ache. Yesh. She had tummy aches for consecutively 3 days.
After the heavy lunch, we went to the hotel mall. A mall that looks shabby & going to fall apart anytime. The first 3 levels were horrible. The ventilation was not on. It’s stuffy and the stuffs they are selling are super old school. But well, luckily we didn’t give up. The forth floor is amazing. Once again I found myself in a Far East like mall. There’s lot of unique local stores. Selling things that we didn’t see at Platinum & Chatuchak, most of the stuffs were tee. Once again, Ma brought like a dozen tees.
We went back to the hotel lounge to slack, totally defeated by the past few days continuous shopping. I had coke, which was served with a piece of lime. It’s nice.
We had a little chat with the bellboy before we left, sadly it’s not the cute one I had my eyes on the first day of the trip.
Then we head off to the airport, had a somewhat weird dinner, some incidents with a group of aunties and I reached home safely. .
Day 2
We skipped the half-day tour. Figure that it will be a waste of time and there will be lots of hard selling, which I hate.
We had breakfast at the hotel. It's international style buffet. I wouldn't say its heaven taste but well its fine since it's complimentary.
Day 1
Woke up at 430am to get ready. Ma's dad came to fetch me at around 530am. The wind is blowing like hurricane and my house lift was spoilt. I have to carry the 5-7kg heavy luggage down 4 storey.
We set off to the Budget Terminal. It's small, shabby & looks pathetic. There are only a couple of shops (I'm not even sure if it duty-free).
We hung around the airport looking shag & tired. I also try out the new system of using thumbprint to enter/ exit from the gate, which is pretty cool.
The stewardesses were really amazing. The standard contrast with SIA is HUGE. The uniform basically consist of this ugly velvet grey like colour pant, a dark benign colour shirt and a tiger strip print cloth, which you can either tied it around the neck as scarf or tied it around your waist like belt. It's horrible.
Beside the outfit, the ongoing to BKK stewardesses don't sound like local. They speak broken English and there is even one w/o make up at all. Well, I thought these days we all know ladies with make up are a polite gesture of courteous, respect….
Apparently this rule doesn't apply to all.
The ride to BKK is smooth. The BKK airport looks alright. They have high technology devices like eye detector. According to Ma the airport is new. Anyway we waited for the airport transfer driver for quite a long time AND even had to resort to announce the travelling agency name at the information counter.
We reached Baiyoke Sky at around 10am (due to the time different). The bellboy is cute. The hotel is nice. The check in process is pretty fast & the staffs english is not too bad. We had Mac breakfast due to our hungriness. It's the first food store we came across.
After slacking for awhile we went off to Chatuchak by train. It's a hot & humid day. I had my cap on, sun block on, make up on, face spray in my bag, water bottle & map on my hand… trying hard to stay fair.
I'm amaze by the whole place. Chatuchak is like massive market that is maybe like 30x of our local market. There are different sections selling different things. The sections include clothes, accessories, pet, kitchenware, food…
I fall in love with the clothes there. It's unique. Stuffs you thought Platinum will have don't. So it is really satisfying after going through all the trouble to get there, squeeze yourself through the crowd and ended up all hot & sweaty. I've brought 4 pieces of clothes from there. They have the latest floral print that is all big in Mina & Non-no. And its stuffs you don't see in Bugis, Far East and even online shops.
Brought a few things.
After dropping our stuffs at the hotel, we head down to Platinum, which is kind of nearby to our hotel. A good 15mins walk away. On the way to there, we passed by lots of “lu bia tang”. Honestly the package is not there. The stuffs look dirty, old and ugly.
Platinum on the first look looks amazing, fabulous. Just like Far East. You guys know how crazy I am over some particular shops at Far East. It's not exactly like room but well there are definitely some cool looking stores available. We glanced through the place, while heading off to the food court. We had some Korean food that in my opinion tasted ok and had this weird fruit punch flavour ice blended, which is too too sweet.
Am typing this in the office using word. Pathetic I know, but I’m dying from boredom. My surrounding is quiet like a dead town or rather a dead department. I have no internet access, even though there are phone cords present. Guess the privilege is not extend to anyone, everyone. Hai…
I had so far accomplished 1 PV, read the remaining half of Toyota Way 2001 booklet and just started on Sales & Marketing way of Toyota. Interesting?
Enough of ranting, it doesn’t change my circumstance an ounce better.
Zm is back from Vietnam. I have no idea which part he went, but well he’s back. He brought me a stone jewellery box. It’s red with benign colour butterflies craving. It looks antique in a way. Pretty. But I have no idea what to use it for. I have already 4 boxes of jewellery.
He also brought coffee (2kg), requested by my sis. Hope is taste alright. There’s a vanilla flavour one o_o & other exotic flavours. Haha…
Watched Prince Caspian yesterday. Its sneak preview & cost a nice $10 on a Wednesday night. Once again the movie ticket has some price changes. Think about 50 cents. The pricing is getting confusing.
But well I’m in love with C S Lewis, so I don’t mind spending the extra few bucks. The graphic is pretty decent. Storyline is stick quite closely to the book. The only change is I guess the part Prince Caspian & Queen Susan has a thing for each other. Hahaha. Not to forget, High King Peter looking absolutely HOT!!!!! All in all I’ll gave a 9/10 for this movie.
Went to buy heels for work. Short open toes heels. The super high heels are killing me. Mine endurance level for the pain is lesser. The aching has gone so bad that my feet “cong jin” during my sleep. Also, the funguses are not healing. Damn. I suspect its due to my love for cover shoes and also my forgetfulness of applying the Dr G.
So I have decided. I’m going to stop wearing cover shoes and am going to diligently apply the gel at least twice per day.
Anyway, I’ve brought a simple white satin short heel and is going to purchase this black satin heel I saw at URS. The classic black & white that are able to match any & every outfits.
Yesterday is quite an eventful day. I had suffered giddiness and was helped to rest at the Bedok MRT station staff room. Haha drama I know. I guess it is due to my low blood pressure. So it is true. I have “ping xue”. I even left through the back door, as it is nearer to my house. Amazing experience. Lucky today I am feeling alright. Have thought of applying MC, but it is only my first week of work. It wouldn’t look good for sure and I was told there is some evaluation tomorrow. Arg!
I have also yet to update about the BKK trip. Guess I can only do it when I’m home with the photos to refresh my memory of it.
